Welcome Page

August 2009 Social Event. The ROSC is a dedicated group of spouses from all walks and phases of life, representing a variety of skills, talent and interests.  From newlywed to retiree, from new parent to empty nester and everywhere in between, we continue a tradition of service to our military members, spouses, base and community.  We are both a charitable and social organization.  On the charitable side, our thrift shop and annual bazaar bring in funds to allow us to sponsor school scholarships and monetary support for our community.  On the social side and keeping with Team Randolph, we offer many monthly social activities with opportunities to build personal and lasting relationships.

Visit often as we continue to update and add more information about our Bazaar, Thrift Shop, scholarships, functions, Special Activities and useful military links.

Farewell Alan

General News

Our Advisor for two years, Alan Frosch, is getting ready to PCS to Andrews AFB with his wife, Col Jackie Van Ovost. She will be taking over the wing there at

Andrews AFB. Good luck to her and Alan as they continue on to the next phase in their Air Force adventure.

 FAREWELL TO ALAN FROSCH

Ode to a board member, advisor & friend;

Although you're leaving, this isn't the end.

We've shared lots of laughter, some seriousness too,

But we couldn't have endured it if we didn't have you.

You've hung in there through rough times; through thick & through thin

And just when things got better, we'd start over again!

We thank you for your wisdom, your guidance and such;

You're just like US GIRLS - OK, not TOO much!

We wish you much happiness in your new town and life;

We know it was a tough choice - all of US or your WIFE!

Thanks for your replacement; that was good-to-hear news,

But her feet will look silly trying to fit in YOUR shoes!

So with fondness & love, by golly and by gosh

We say goodbye to our advisor, our dear Alan Frosch.

Suzie Crosby

OSC Thrift Shop Chairperson

President's Pen Feb 2010

Chrissy
Chrissy
Oh, oh, oh!!!  I looove February!  For those of you who know me, this will not surprise you.  February is pink and hearts, love and chocolate, champagne and romance.  As a child, I so loved choosing just the right Valentines for my classmates and decorating my “mailbox.”  As an adult, I have often thought that the concept of “everyone gets one” was valid—it encouraged us kids to think of each other with care, whether  they were part of our circle or not. It’s a good metaphor for how we treat others on a daily basis:  everyone needs to feel valued, and so   often it’s easy to share a smile or a kind word and make someone’s day.

I hope we can make your day this month.  Maybe you are trying a new Special Activity, or maybe  you are attending a function for the first time, or maybe you are coming back after having been out for a while—I hope you find what you’re looking for and more.  ROSC has so much to offer, so much to share.

Speaking of sharing, this month we begin our search for next year’s Board, and we are hoping you will share your gifts and talents with us!  There are so many ways to serve:  one way is to serve on our  Bazaar Committee.  We begin planning our fall bazaar right now, and we need excited and talented people to chair our Bake Sale, Volunteers, Hospitality, and more.  If you think this is for you, please send me an e-mail at txyogaprincess@yahoo.com.  And if you are interested in next year’s Board, please e-mail David at  parliamentarian@randolphosc.org

I hope this month finds you surrounded by those you love and that you will widen your circle to include others, both close and distant.  I wish you pink hearts, red roses, dark chocolate, deep embraces…and love.

Chrissy
