Thrift Shop Happenings for Aug. 2010

Wow - do we have a lot to pass on to you all this month! WE HAVED MOVED AGAIN!
We will re-open on Monday, 2 August at the NEW shop! Our first Saturday sale and BYOBS sale will be held at the new shop on 7 August, so get those items ready to consign and sell! Yes, it's true! Our new building is bigger and MUCH closer to the front gate and shopping areas! Plus we have our own private parking! Can you tell we're excited about it? THANK YOU to all the volunteers who came out on the weekend of 10-11 July! While we were hoping to get the new place cleaned up by the 16th, with all the help, we were done before that! I know if I try to name everyone, I will forget someone, but you know who you are!

Many of you have asked about NEW POLICIES AND PROCEDURES ONCE WE MOVE: There will be no changes at all until we have settled into the new shop and found what works best. We will NOT be changing the 4 week consignment period, as this has allowed us to move much more merchandise and has served us quite well. The 3 like item limit will remain in place also, as well as the $3.00 minimum price. Our decision is that the policies and procedures will remain in place until after the holiday closure in December. The Thrift Shop Board will convene early in 2011 and will entertain suggestions at that time.
